Eagles 7s Name Latest Camp Roster

With the Falcons in South America on a two week tour there aren't a lot of new names in camp as the Eagles 7s gather ahead of Wellington and Sydney. Those with the Falcons will still be in contention but only Shalom Suniula and Ben Pinkelman have been brought in as non-OTC players this go around. Those at the OTC include Kevin Swiryn and Thretton Palamo, both of whom recently moved to San Diego to push for the Olympics.

The rest of the camp roster consists of the regulars like Perry Baker, Garrett Bender, Madison Hughes, Carlin Isles, Zack Test, Brett Thompson, Maka Unufe, and others. Some players that have been on the fringes in the past with some game time include Pat Blair, Nic Edwards, Will Holder, Martin Iosefo, and Peter Tiberio. One player returning to the team that should excite fans is Danny Barrett who is now healthy and ready to go.

"The message to the Falcons is clear: play yourself into the touring team for Wellington and Sydney," Mike Friday said in a U.S.A. Rugby press release. "If you don't quite make it this time, enjoy the experience and learn so you are better prepared and able to compete come next Camp. There is nothing to stop a player on the Falcons tour from making the tour to Wellington and Sydney. We will take a view at the end of the Camp to consider how players have performed in Camp, together with the coach's views from the touring Falcons. Competition for the final 12 will be fierce."

The U.S. will head to Wellington at the end of the month where they will play England, France, and Samoa.
