Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

The Christmas holiday meant that for some Americans overseas it was time off but for others, especially those in the top leagues, it was a busy weekend. Of the the players to be busy was AJ MacGinty who is back from a knee injury. He came on as a second half substitute and scored Connacht's only points in their loss to Ulster. U.S.-eligible prop Callum Black came off the bench for significant minutes for Ulster. Also in the PRO 12, Greg Peterson came off the bench for Glasgow in their loss to Edinburgh while Cam Dolan came off the bench for Cardiff. In the Premiership, Chris Wyles started for Saracens once again while Todd Clever came off the bench for Newcastle. There are 'A' League matches today with Titi Lamositele set to take part for the Saracens Storm. Down in France, Toulon could use the injured Samu Manoa while both Dave Ryan and Gagi Badzadze played for their respective teams.
