Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

It was a relatively quiet weekend in European play for Americans as either rest of injuries took their toll. The ongoing injuries to Samu Manoa and AJ MacGinty kept them out of the line-up of their respective teams but Blaine Scully was able to make a return from his injury to be a part of Cardiff's line-up. Scully's return is good news for the player who has done well when he's had the chance to play for Cardiff but due to injuries and the World Cup hasn't been able to get consistent time. Also at Cardiff, Cam Dolan got a good runout and scored a try in the British & Irish Cup. In France, Taku Ngwenya also saw another full 80 minutes.

Where Americans are going to see most of the time this weekend is in the Aviva 'A' League. Tom Bliss is set to be on the bench for his parent club Wasps. He's only been getting periodic time while on loan to Ealing. At Newcastle, Todd Clever and Paddy Ryan will start while Eric Fry will come off the bench.
