Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

It was hit and miss for Americans overseas last weekend. The regulars once again saw time but others dealt with injuries or postponements. Chris Wyles started once again for Saracens as they beat Newcastle. He was one out of five capped Eagles (six if you include a U.S.-eligible player) that saw time. Eric Fry and Todd Clever continue to be on the sideline for Newcastle. Other players to start include Samu Manoa for Toulon, Thretton Palamo for London Welsh, and Taku Ngwenya for Biarritz. Ngwenya continued his hot stream with two tries. That brings his season total up to five in six matches. Manoa is impressing at Toulon and has been recently named as one of their key players. Elsewhere, Cam Dolan came off the bench for Cardiff while Blaine Scully and AJ MacGinty were both out in that match. MacGinty is missing for Connacht after a knee injury.
