Cape Town Draw, Baker On Dubai Dream Team

Now that the Eagles have firmly established themselves as one of the top teams on the Series teams up and down the standings of the World Sevens Series are going to be gunning hard for them. That will be especially true in Cape Town next week where they have been given a tough draw. The team will face the Plate runners-up Australia, Wales, and Portugal.

Overall it's a draw they are once again expect to make the Cup quarterfinals and could potentially top. They had an easy time with Portugal in Dubai and Wales didn't exactly inspire on the weekend with a two point win over Kenya and big losses to England and Australia in pool play and a win over Canada in the Bowl semi-finals on day two. Australia will be tough to beat only losing to England, Fiji, and South Africa in Dubai.

Staying in Dubai, Perry Baker was named to the Dream Team. It's a well deserved honor for the speedster. He scored both the Eagles crucial tries against New Zealand on day one and generally came up big at the right moments. That said, there is a case for other Eagles have made the team as well. Garrett Bender and Matai Leuta were terrific as well several other players.
