Report: U.S. To Play Two A6N Matches In Texas

According to the Austin Blacks the U.S. are set to play two of their Americas Six Nations in Texas. This backs up what we understood to be in the works but had not yet been finalized a few weeks ago. The Eagles will be playing Argentina at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston on February 6th and then Canada in Austin at Dell Diamond baseball park the following week, most likely on February 13th.

The choice of Texas makes a lot of sense. Warm weather is needed to play the match leaving only a few options like Florida, the Carolinas, California, etc. Additionally, Texas makes a lot of sense from a travel perspective given that Houston is a major hub to South America. This will allow teams to fly in and out of the U.S. more easily.

With this report and reports from South America we know four dates for the Eagles five Americas Six Nations matches. It bears mentioning that U.S.A. Rugby has not confirmed any of these dates or locations. In addition to the two matches in Texas, the U.S. will host Chile on February 20th. The location for that match hasn't been determined. The U.S. will then travel to South America to play Brazil on February 27th. They will almost certainly pair that with a trip to Uruguay the follow week is previous logic holds.

Hopefully the full dates and locations will be announced soon.
