Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

For a couple of Americans it was a very active weekend overseas. It begins with Samu Manoa who picked up his first points for Toulon on a 40 meter run that has made several highlight reels. It's only been a few matches but already it looks like Manoa has cemented his place on what is arguably the top team in the Northern Hemisphere. Also in France, Taku Ngwenya didn't score but was the subject of a massive hit in the Biarritz-Bayonne derby. In Ireland, Tim Maupin continues to impress with a couple of tries for Trinity. Maupin would be a good candidate for one of the new PRO Rugby sides. Conor Kearns also picked up a conversion in the match. Also in Ireland, AJ MacGinty made his debut for Connacht playing 17 minutes in their win over Benetton Treviso. Thretton Palamo also made his debut for his club London Welsh. Unfortunately the Exiles struggled against England. Lastly, Chris Wyles, Eric Fry, and Todd Clever all saw time in the Premiership.
