Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

Although the World Cup did halt play for several Americans overseas last weekend there were still a number of players that saw action for their sides, including several up and coming players. Tom Bliss came off the bench for Ealing in their loss. The scrumhalf is on loan from Wasps and is looking to make an impact this year in the RFU Championship. In Ireland, Conor Kearns and Tim Maupin both started for Trinity as they picked up another win. Kearns is a bedrock player for the side and could be an option for the Eagles in the future as a kicker. Another kicking option is Liam Bourke who played for UCD. In the UK, Todd Clever started for the Falcons in their pre-season match while Callum Black as the only American involved in the Guinness Pro12. In the Southern Hemisphere, Mike Lawrenson is still hurt while Tom Coolican came off the bench for his side.
