All-Americans, Hawks, Falcons Name Serevi RugbyTown Sevens Rosters

In addition to the All-Americans, U.S.A. Rugby is placing a Falcons and Hawks team in this weekend's Serevi RugbyTown Sevens. U.S.A. Rugby announced the squads for all three earlier today. Several members of the Eagles 7s team will be on the Falcons team that will be led by Chris Brown. Newcomer Perry Baker will be on the team and will be joined by Maka Unufe, Andrew Durutalo, Pila Taufa, Mike Ziegler, and Nese Malifa. Ryan Matyas and Pat Blair, who was recently released from his contract, will also be on the team. Marcus Satavu will be there as well. He recently left the active duty military and is not a member of the WCAP program but still a part of the picture. Lastly for the Hawks is Don Pati, Ryan Thompson, and Chris Turori. Pati is a name that has been in discussion for a number of years while Ryan is the latest in the Thompson family.

The Falcons will be led by former Eagles 7s coach Al Caravelli and will be a mixture of college and club players. Some of the more well-known names on the team include Dylan Carrio from Arkansas State, Christian Adams from AIC, and Brad Harrington from Cal. St. Mary's Bubba Jones is listed on the roster but considering he was injured over the weekend playing for SFGG at the Limerick 7s he's questionable. Other players to watch out for include Ty Elkins and Kenny Scott. Elkins has been stellar for the South Panthers over the last few years while Scott was one of the breakout players at the National Club 7s.

Tony Pacheco will once again lead the All-Americans. It's a strong list of players on the roster. Aladdin Schirmer played in last year's tournament and has spent the summer training with Seattle. Adam Sandstrom had a strong weekend with the Chicago Lions at the National Club 7s and has been in Eagles camp. Martin Iosefo likewise had a good weekend in Seattle playing with Belmont Shore. Tonata Lauti is an underrated player and St. Mary's pair Joe Reavey and Kingsley McGowan are difference makers.

The Hawks and Falcons are in Pool C with Nego y Azul and Bermuda while the All-Americans are in Pool D with the Northeast ODA, the Spitfires, and the Denver Elite City 7s. Play begins on Friday.
