Quill, L'Estrange Released From London Welsh

Eagles pair Toby L'Estrange and John Quill will not be joining London Welsh in the Premiership next season after the club announced their list of players not returning. Both L'Estrange and Quill spent just a short time at the club signing as late season injury cover. L'Estrange had integrated himself well into the team making five appearances (four of them starts) and scoring one try before going down with a horrific leg fracture late in the season. He is expected to be out for several more months. Quill made seven appearances for the team with two starts and three tries after making the move from Dolphin in Ireland. However, at the end of the season and in the playoffs he found himself let off the team sheet.

London Welsh earned promotion back to the Premiership by beating Bristol a few weeks back and since then has made a number of player transactions. So far they have announced 15 new players with 25 players confirmed leaving. With decent performances to end the year it's not out of the question to see both Quill and L'Estrange find another club.
What do you make of the news? Think Quill and L'Estrange will land somewhere else?

  1. This is extremely disappointing. I knew Toby wasn't coming back but I figured Quill had solidified his place with his performance. Hopefully he will get picked up soon.
