Cam Dolan Signs Extension With Northampton, Tuisamoa Joins London Scottish

Although he didn't appear in any first team matches this last year Cam Dolan has done enough to gain the trust of the Northampton Saints coaching staff. According to the club's website he has signed a one year extension to stay at Franklin's Gardens. Originally brought in last December as injury cover Dolan has reportedly done very well in training. Many have tabbed him as the breakout player for next season and the buzz around him at Northampton is quite high. It says something when you can earn a two year contract without playing first team minutes. With the departure of GJ van Velze there will be an opening for more time for Dolan next season.

Dolan didn't play for the first team but he did make several appearances for the Wanderers, the Saints second side, against various clubs and he did play 7s for the team. He spent a good chunk of March helping the Eagles beat Uruguay to qualify for the World Cup and started for the team against Scotland last Saturday.

Tai Tuisamoa will finally get his chance to play in England have signing with London Scottish. The club announced the news earlier this morning. Tuisamoa nearly joined London Welsh at the same time as Toby L'Estrange in the spring but the move fell through. However, with him seeing regular time with the Eagles it was only a matter of when, not if, he would make the move overseas. Physically he possesses all the tools to be an international lock. He will join the club after the Eagles summer test series. By joining the club he continues the American presence on the team. Eric Fry was with the team the last year and a half before moving to Newcastle beginning next season.
What do you make of the news? Think the moves are good for Dolan and Tuisamoa?
