Roland Suniula is changing clubs. He has signed a two year deal with an option for a third with Federale 1 club Chalon. He spent the last year at Vienne, also in the Federale 1, and prior to that a year with Auch in the Pro D2. Chalon finished one place ahead of Vienne in their Federale 1 pool this year. Suniula made 17 appearances for Vienne (out of a possible 18) with 15 starts and one try. The move to Vienne was to secure more playing time than he got with Auch. He did that by logging more than 1100 minutes for the club.
Suniula has over a dozen caps to his name, including starting as the Eagles fly-half in the last World Cup. However, he hasn't been called into camp recently. That may change as he continues to see time France. He can play fly-half but his natural position is center.
