Gabe Adler Joins Cullen, Thiel at PRM

Press Release

MANCHESTER, NH (December 23, 2013) – Premier Rugby Management (PRM) (www.prmrugby.com), the nation’s first sports management agency dedicated to the sport of rugby, today announced the signing of wing/lock Gabriel Adler to a representation agreement.

Adler is a dual US and Israeli citizen, and is currently with the Israeli national team ahead of the 2014 European Nations Cup, where he is expected to receive his first international cap. The 6’5”, 240 pound Adler trained at the Olympic Training Center with the USA 7s team and was selected for the 2013 USA Maccabi team earlier this year along with USA International Zach Test and Israeli International Guy Mastis. He won Gold for basketball at the 2005 Maccabiah Games, and planned to play collegiate basketball and football at Santa Monica College or NYU, but instead joined the Israeli Special Forces.

“Gabe has a unique combination of size, speed, strength and explosiveness that you don’t often see in rugby, and certainly not in someone his size,” said Jesse Martineau, Vice President of PRM.  “His experience in athletics and the military have given him the physical and mental makeup necessary to succeed at a high level, and we are thrilled to have him as part of the PRM family.”

Added Adler, “I’m excited for the opportunity to join PRM and the Israeli national team; it would be a dream to help lead Israel into the Olympics. I think there is a misconception that sevens is a game better suited for smaller, faster players and my goal is to change that perception.”

Adler is the third player to be signed by PRM in as many months, joining USA Eagles Phil Thiel and John Cullen.

  1. Confusing press release. The player himself only talks about 7s but is there any pro 7s to play? Or is PRM shopping him to pro 15s clubs based on 7s performance?
