Ruffneck Scarves Donates To Wayne State

As many of you know, Wayne State College in Nebraska recently suffered a devastating tornado that resulted in tens of thousands of dollars of damage. Raising that amount of money is tough no matter what situation you are in. Knowing that, we at TIAR contacted our partner Ruffneck Scarves to see if they would be willing to donate some custom designed scarves to WSC. Ruffneck President Jeff McIntyre was thrilled to be able to help. "We are happy to be able to help out the Wayne State Rugby program any way we can, as they look to rebuild their facilities."

After a few e-mails to work out a design, WSC had their own scarf:

"We were shocked to have such a generous donation, especially from someone that has no ties to the club," said WSC assistant coach Dave Synnott. "The scarves that Ruffneck are producing for us look great and will be a huge fundraiser. WSC Rugby plans on using the money raised from the scarves to replace field equipment we lost during the tornado. We, as a club, can't thank Ruffneck and TIAR enough for their help and generosity during this devastating time. It is great to see fellow rugby enthusiasts helping other rugby lovers out when they are in need. That is what rugby is all about, coming together as a community and helping the sport continue to grow. I recommend Ruffneck Scarves to any rugby club as a fundraiser. We have almost sold out already and the scarves are still in production! They sell themselves!!"
